Claire

Introduction

Hi, my name is Claire. I am an economics major and in my last semester at Oswego. I have no idea what I want to do in the "real world" and am hoping to continue school in Wales this fall. As a warning, I am an incredibly blunt person, so please don't take it personally, it doesn't mean that I don't like you.

Things I Like

• Running. I run for the Syracuse Track Club and especially like cross country.
• Reading. I am currently reading The Complete Collection of Sherlock Holmes.
• Traveling. Anywhere and everywhere. I hate staying in one place.
• Pubs. The food, the drinks, the strange people; lovely.
• Foreign Tv Shows. My sister and I watch Dr. Who together over breaks. I also enjoy Torchwood, Mr. Bean, and am a fan of Due South and the Pride and Prejudice BBC Miniseries.
• God of War (the first one). I have fun with the red boxes, being able to kill civilians, and going to hell. Heavenly Sword is right up there too with the anti-male combos and names like "lover's embrace".

Reasons for Taking this Course

I decided to take this class after a few friends and my boyfriend took this class last semester and last spring. They told me about the alternate reality games, the free play and even made me read some of the textbooks, and it sounded pretty interesting. I tend to watch a lot more videogames being played than actually play them myself, and I thought that learning more about the design and viewpoints of the videogames would be interesting and make them more fun to watch, even if I have no desire to play them.

I am currently playing Dragon Age on PS3, and started with the Dalish Elf origin story. The thing that I like most about the game so far is the graphics and the different side quest options. I consider being able to fall in love with your party members a bonus. A really awesome bonus, but a bonus either way.
